Sustainable Procurement

Purchasing accounts for nearly half of the University of Geneva’s carbon footprint and must therefore be central to our emissions reduction strategy. Currently, data reliability in this sector remains limited — only accounting data allows us to analyze our impact to some extent. A significant effort is still needed, but in the meantime, we are already taking action to reduce our purchases and make them more sustainable.
